Caldera de la Orotava
This circular path begins and ends in the car park of the recreational area of La Caldera. From here, it follows part of the Mamio forest track, wide and gently sloping. This section coincides with the GR 131 long-distance path and with the BC nº1 bicycle and horse route until reaching the building known as the “Forest House" circular path that begins and ends at the car park of the recreational area of La Caldera. From here, it follows part of the Mamio forest track, wide and gently sloping. This section coincides with the GR 131 long-distance path and with the BC nº1 bicycle and horse route until reaching the building known as “casa del Agua”,. From here, the route continues to the left and descends towards the center of Mamio through a surroundings of farms and cultivated plots. Later it goes up next to the Los Llanos ravine in the direction of the main road and, after passing by the Aguamansa environmental center, it enters the forest again to return to the recreational area of La Caldera.
Fixed Price System
In this Circular Hiking through the Caldera de la Orotava we have opted for the fixed price system of 18 euros for residents and 25 for non-residents. Once we reach 10 reservations, the activity is confirmed. If 24 hours before the start we do not reach 10, we will refund 100% of the amount.
